The Vbeam effect
Patients will notice an immediate improvement in red & blue vessels appearance, significant clearance will be achieved upon completing the program.
The Vbeam laser delivers pulsed laser energy at a wavelength of 595nm that passes through the dermis and epidermis skin layers and is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin in the blood vessels rather than by the surrounding tissue. 1064 nm wavelength is useful in treating bigger blue veins.
Vbeam targets oxyhemoglobin. Ideally, the wavelength selected for the eradication of vascular lesions is highly absorbed by the lesion and only minimally absorbed by other competing chromophores in the skin.
By varying the pulse duration, treatments can be performed purpurically (with bruising) by rupturing the blood vessel, or sub-purpurically by slowly heating the
vessel causing coagulation of the blood vessel.
The Vbeam enables both modes by its several pulsed durations. Short pulse duration destroys target while gently heat the target without harming structures around the treated area.
The cryogen based DCD (dynamic cooling device) is suitable for shallow dermal lesions & Evercool's contact cooling tip is suitable for deep vascular lesions.
